The contract will be paid from a <br /> 20 year loan obtained by the County and reimbursed, in part, by the tri-party cost share <br /> agreement with the Town of Chapel Hill (43%), the Town of Carrboro (14%) and Orange County <br /> (43%). <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable to <br /> this agenda item: <br /> GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding necessary for <br /> residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for themselves and their <br /> dependents. <br /> Adding water and sewer infrastructure to the Historic Rogers Road Neighborhood will result in <br /> positive outcomes related to the above Goal. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board: <br /> 1. Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the construction contract on behalf of the Board, <br /> after review by the County Attorney, and contingent upon evidence of responsibility being <br /> provided in supplemental information to URS and approved by URS; and <br /> 2. Authorize the Manager to approve minor amendments for any necessary change orders <br /> during construction, up to the project budget, after review by the County Attorney. <br />
