FY 2017-2018 Consolidated <br /> Housing Plan -Annual Action Plan <br /> — ONLY AVAILABLE <br /> ELECTRONICALLY <br /> AT: http://www.orangecountync.gov <br /> /Draft%20FFY%202017%20Annual <br /> %20Action%20PIan.pdf <br /> PURPOSE: To: <br /> (1) Receive comments from the public regarding the FY 2017 - 2018 Consolidated Plan — <br /> Annual Action Plan for Housing and Community Development Programs in Orange <br /> County; <br /> (2) Adopt a Resolution approving the FY 2017-2018 Consolidated Housing Plan - Annual <br /> Action Plan; <br /> (3) Adopt and authorize the Chair to sign a Resolution approving the proposed HOME <br /> Program Activities for 2017-2018; and <br /> (4) Authorize the Manager to implement the HOME Program as approved by the BOCC <br /> including the ability to execute agreements with partnering non-profit organizations after <br /> consultation with the County Attorney. <br /> BACKGROUND: In May 2015 the Five-Year FY 2015-2020 Consolidated Plan for Housing and <br /> Community Development Programs in Orange County was developed and approved by the U.S. <br /> Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This document details the housing <br /> needs of very low income, low income and moderate-income families and special population <br /> groups in addition to outlining the strategies and plans for addressing those needs. The <br /> Consolidated Plan is required for all communities receiving HOME funds (Orange County <br /> HOME Consortium). <br />
