Attachment B. <br />~,~~ <br />. . <br />f'h;, <br />,, I0 <br />Town of Chapel Hill <br />November S, 2005 <br />Mr, Ed Kerwin <br />Executive Director <br />Orange Water and Sewer Authority <br />400 Jones Petry Road <br />Carrboro, NC 27510 <br />Dear Mr. Kerwin: <br />At its October 24, 2005 meeting, the Town Council requested that we communicate with you to <br />request a briefing about the effects of increases in development density on the ability of the <br />Orange Water and Sewer Authority to meet water supply and wastewater treatment demand, <br />More specifical]y, the Council has considered certain development proposals that would increase <br />development densities at specific sites, and has expressed interest in considering increases in <br />development densities at other sites throughout Town, principally at the present locations of <br />commercial development The Council wishes to hear from OWASA about the potential impact <br />of such actions before it makes further decisions. <br />I will be pleased to discuss the Council's interests as you desire, We ltope t11at you would be <br />able to prepare materials for the Council's consideration at a meeting in January or February, <br />2006.
