Exhibit A <br /> Scope of Services for <br /> Orange County Schools "Out of School Time" Summer 2017 programs <br /> forthe <br /> Family Success Alliance <br /> Purpose: Program support resources for Orange County schools to provide summer out of <br /> school time services to Family Success Alliance (FSA) students attending New Hope Elementary, <br /> a zone 4 school. <br /> Budget: $60,720 <br /> • $22,770: Summer K-Readiness program for 30 FSA students at a cost of$759 per <br /> student. <br /> • $18, 975: Summer Rising 1st graders Literacy Enrichment program for 25 FSA students at <br /> a cost of$759 per student. <br /> • $18, 975: Summer Rising 2st graders Literacy Enrichment program for 25 FSA students at <br /> a cost of$759 per student. <br /> Funds will be used to pay teacher salaries and payroll, transportation, curriculum materials and <br /> supplies. <br /> Program Services: <br /> • Recruit and enroll 30 incoming kindergarteners at New Hope Elementary into a summer <br /> kindergartern readiness program. Recruit and enroll 25 rising 1st grade and 2nd grade <br /> students into a summer literacy enrichment camp, with a priority for students who have <br /> previously particpated in FSA summer programs. <br /> • Provide a four week program (16 program days) to prepare students to enter school at <br /> grade level using an evidenced-based curriculum and an 8:1 student teacher ratio. <br /> • Provide a program orientation for parents with resources for supporting learning at <br /> home and an end of program celebration to include an opportunity for families to enroll <br /> in the FSA naviagtor program. <br /> • Provide academic assessments at the beginning and end of the program to evaluate the <br /> impact of the program and collect intergrated health assessment data. <br /> Outcomes <br /> K-Readiness <br /> Recruitment: Staff, with assistance from FSA staff, will conduct outreach to eligible families and <br /> recruit up to 33%of incoming kindergarten students at New Hope Elementary school for the k- <br /> readiness program for a total of 30 students. <br /> Attendance: Attendance will be tracked with a goal of 90% attendance rate. <br /> 1 <br />
