Year-To-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget and grant project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2016- <br /> 17. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Animal Services Department <br /> 1. The Animal Services Department has received the following additional revenues: <br /> • Community Giving Fund — an additional $2,916 for the purchase of a picnic <br /> table and trash receptacle, additional "cat portals" for the cat enhancement <br /> project, and for a reception and unveiling event for the new sculpture at the <br /> Animal Services Center. <br /> • Animal Seizure Reimbursement — an additional $1,111 for the <br /> reimbursement of expenses related to a court ordered horse seizure case. <br /> These funds will be used to reimburse unplanned expenses that the <br /> Department incurred as a result of caring for these animals during the court <br /> proceedings. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds in FY 2016-17. <br /> (See Attachment 1, column 1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this agenda item. <br />
