Interface to the CAD system in accordance with"MARVLIS Server Computer Aided Dispatch Integration Guide"that will
provide the necessary information to MARVLIS Server for dispatches, status changes, and incident locations (Lat/Long)
as well as receiving status changes and vehicle locations from MARVLIS Server.
a. CAD system should provide the following information:
i. Incident Identification Number
ii. Incident location(Lat/Long)
iii. Incident Address
iv. Vehicle assigned identification
v. Priority
vi. Problem Nature
vii. Dispatcher Comments,if applicable
Updates to incident information sent after initial dispatch must include the Incident Identification
Number as a minimum
b. CAD should provide the following information for status changes initiated by CAD
i. Vehicle Identification
ii. New Status to be displayed
c. If status changes initiated by the vehicle are to be transmitted to CAD,provide the interface to accept the
changes from MARVLIS. Data to be sent to CAD will include as a minimum;
i. Vehicle Identification
ii. New Status
MARVLIS IMPLEMENTATION DEPENDENCIES:
The items below are needed to support the MARVLIS software and are not the responsibility of BCS. These items should be
established by customer prior to installation by BCS.
1. The communications infrastructure to provide wireless connectivity between MARVLIS Client and MARVLIS Server
must be available. MARVLIS Client and MARVLIS Server use TCP/IP communications protocols.
a. Wireless device should be configured to automatically reestablish communications if lost due to coverage or
obstacles.
b. Connection from vehicles to Server should be tested to assure end-to-end connectivity.
2. The in-vehicle hardware to support MARVLIS Client functions must be available and installed in the vehicles. This
would include the GPS device, the wireless modem device, and a rugged laptop.
a. GPS device should be configured to send location to Client as a NMEA or TAIP string once per second.
b. Laptop should be installed and communications tested to assure that the laptop can communicate to the Server.
3. The existing OSSI CAD interface must be installed, configured and tested in order to allow the transmission of status
changes etc.between the OSSI and MARVLIS applications.
a. NOTE:BCS will coordinate with OSSI to test the objectives of the interface. However, the BCS quotation does
not include compensating OSSI for their interface.
4. The computer hardware to support the remaining MARVLIS applications must be available for installation and
configuration. All systems should be connected to the internal network and configured to communicate with each other
and with the CAD Server. The Server will also require communications access to the outside network so that Clients can
connect.
B-5
CORE/0804998.0008/128897050.2
