DocuSign Envelope ID:4B2CC4A2-9375-4CA5-B4DF-EB9993ABD639 <br /> ro,oty, of F5 <br /> y ry* r <br /> az $/'4c Imo; <br /> Orange County <br /> Financial Services Department <br /> March 29, 2017 <br /> RFP 5232 <br /> Cultural and Archaeological Survey for the <br /> Eno EDD, Phase 1 Sewer Improvements <br /> REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL <br /> Orange County is seeking proposal to procure the services of a qualified and experienced <br /> archaeologist to conduct a survey of cultural and archaeological resources of the project <br /> construction site of the proposed Eno EDD Phase 1 Sewer Improvements project. <br /> Purpose <br /> Required to satisfy Cultural and Archaeological Resources Policy for Orange County <br /> Construction Projects, adopted October 3, 2006 (copy attached). <br /> Project Description <br /> This project serves approximately 100 acres of land, which lies between 1-85 and US 70 <br /> Business and westerly of Orangewood Drive, as depicted on attached Figure 1, consisting of <br /> the following construction in Orange County, NC: <br /> • Approximately 7,500 LF of buried gravity sewer line <br /> • Most of the proposed construction is in urbanized areas; however, approximately 1,000 <br /> LF of the proposed gravity line will be installed on previously undeveloped property.. <br /> The information obtained through this survey will be used to identify the presence or absence <br /> of any significant resources of historic and cultural interest and to avoid damage to those <br /> resources during the construction of the sewer line. <br /> Consultant's proposal must address the Consultant's qualifications and ability to carry out the <br /> project work in accordance with the accompanying Scope of Work, within the specified time <br /> frames, and should include, but not be limited to the following: <br /> 1. A discussion of the research required and intended for the proposed investigation. <br /> 2. A discussion of the field and laboratory methods to be employed. <br /> 3. A work schedule for the proposed survey. <br /> 4. If not provided associated with previous cultural and archaeological consulting effort for <br /> Orange County, please provide supplemental resumes articulating qualifications of "new" <br /> 1 <br />
