In addition to waiting room space, <br /> more space will also be available for locked file cabinets and storage <br /> of office supplies. <br /> • improve volunteer training and on-going support for UNC students <br /> and community member volunteers by allocating training space and <br /> maintaining a centralized instructional materials library.Our volunteer <br /> coordinator, a Master's level ELL teacher,currently meets with <br /> volunteers individually and online and keeps materials and supplies in <br /> her home, distributing individually as needed. A centralized location <br /> of materials and books that is easily accessible to volunteers would <br /> provide a more efficient and effective instructional program. At <br /> present,we have 112 active volunteers with a wait list of 37. <br /> • Maximize opportunities for RSC to collaborate with other <br /> organizations serving refugees by sharing space.
