Next Regular Planning Board Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 1,
2006
b. Planning calendar for February and March 2006
c. Joint Public Hearing on February 27 regarding the Land Use Element

AGENDA ITEM #3: CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONS TO AGENDA

Bernadatte Pelissier: While this is not an actual addition to the agenda, I would like to see if we could
have an update or report on the USGS report, which I haven't seen and would appreciate getting a copy,
on recharge rates. I know that recharge rates vary a lot from place to place in the County, and was
wondering how this might affect the Land Use Plan update. Should something else should be considered
in areas where the recharge rates may be lower? Water resources are very much driving this update any
way, and I don't feel that I have a complete understanding if we should be looking at something else.

Jay Bryan: I think all of us share that feeling, and appreciate your bringing it up at this time. Ted and I
had some discussions with Staff about putting an item on this agenda to follow up on our discussion from
last month's report, and Craig has a handout to give us this evening. Is it the desire of the Board to have
that item brought back for the next agenda? I don't recall how we left it last meeting, but we asked Staff
to follow up on questions we posed about the information we received.

Ted Triebel: I believe that we left it that we would be appreciative and amenable to Don Cox coming
back at some time, and would like to know the outcomes of the task force recommendations from Staff.

Renee Price - Saunders: Can we get some information with regards to the water thresholds, and legislation
ideas as to what can be done to use water resources as a criteria for evaluating subdivisions?

Jay Bryan: Are there any other thoughts as to what information we would like?
