53 <br /> County of Oran e, NC RFP#O1V3 <br /> � � STATEMENT OF UU������������U��d� <br /> 2.0 �° "��" °�"�"~�"� � ��" UNDERSTANDING <br /> "�"�~�""�~� <br /> The County of Orange,N.C. is the services of a vendor with expertise in the household <br /> hazardous waste industry to operate and staff two collection sites for the County's permanent <br /> Household Hazardo oWante(zereinafter^HBW`) collection centers located at Eubanks Road in <br /> Chapel Hill,NC and at the County's Solid Waste Convenience Center(SWCC)located at <br /> Walnut Grove Church Road,Hurdle Mills,NC. Each center is to be staffed with one customer- <br /> focused individual,who is experienced with managing,packaging, and manifesting household <br /> hazardous waste materials if full compliance with all applicable regulations, <br /> The current collection center,Eubanks Road,will continue to accept residential I-IHW as well as <br /> hazardous waste from Conditionally Ex t S ll Quantity Generators(CESQG) including <br /> participating local governments and public school systems The new collection center at Walnut <br /> Grove will only accept residential HHW, There will be no 1111W"events"held under this <br /> contract. <br /> We understand that the County currently manages the disposal of the following waste streams <br /> (waste motor oil, and batteries) and will continue to do so. Clean Harbors proposes to manage <br /> waste at each facility using the methods described in section 8 our bid below. Transportaiton <br /> will be supplied by our Clean Harbors transportation Group and will be coordinated by our <br /> onsite person to ensure each facility remains in compliance with its storage requirements.
