ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING BOARD <br /> ° <br /> | <br /> . <br /> Nov 25, 1983 <br /> TO: ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING BOARD <br /> We, the undersigned residents of Weaver Dairy Road and <br /> Timberlyne Aubdivision, oppose the rezoning from R-1 to <br /> R-8 on apprOximately 45 acres of land located north of Weaver <br /> Dairy Road and south of the 1-40 corridor (Tax map 17, Lot 15). <br /> Our opposition is based on the following considerations: <br /> 1. The woliferation of multiple-family and commercial develOpment along Weaver Dairy road decreases the <br /> livabillity and character of the adjacent single family <br /> • <br /> residences and neighborhoods. In some instances, our property <br /> values may be decreased. <br /> 2. The '-- ~ of the above property and its subsequent <br /> develo!pment will increase the traffic and congestion <br /> on Wealver Dairy road and its intersections at Highways 86 <br /> and Erimin road. At peak times, these intersections are <br /> presenitly overburdened and potentially dangerous. <br /> 3. The abklity of local governments to provide adequate <br /> water Services is questionable due to present <br /> water Shortages.
