013 <br /> Article 4. ESTABLISHMENT OF PERMITTED USE TABLE AND SCHEDULE <br /> 4.2,27 Protected Watershed II (?W-II) District <br /> b) Application Criteria <br /> 2, Where applicable the requirements of the Water <br /> Quality Critical Area shall supercede or supplement <br /> the requirements of the PW-IT District as specified <br /> in Section 6.23. <br /> 4.2.28 Water Quality Critical Area (WQCA District) <br /> a) Intent <br /> It is the intent of Orange County to regulate the uses <br /> of laud and structures in the portions of water supply <br /> watersheds which are immediately adjacent to the water <br /> supply impoundments. The quality of water in these <br /> water supply impoundments can be affected by the activi- <br /> ties of man, including farming, construction, non- <br /> residential growth, especially in the areas closest to . <br /> Impoundments, The intent of the Water Quality Critical <br /> Area (WQCA District) is to apply a set of regulations <br /> for water supply protection to portions of the voter <br /> supply watersheds which drain directly to water supply impoundmen <br /> and which drain directly to the main channels of trunk stre ms <br /> feeding the impoundments so as to establish higher developm nt <br /> standards in the these areas. <br /> b) Application Criteria <br /> The Water Quality Critical Area (WQCA District) is <br /> • established as a district which overlays other zoning <br /> district established in this ordinance. The new use of <br /> any land or any new structures within the Water Quality <br /> Critical Area (WQCA District) shall comply with use regu- <br /> lations applicable to the underlying zoning district, as <br /> well as the requirements of the WQCA district, <br /> 1. This district will be applied to portions of <br /> protected water supply watersheds as designated <br /> in the Land Use Plan. <br /> • <br /> 2. This district shall comply with use regulations <br /> applicable under the Protected Watershed II (PW-II) <br /> overlay district. <br /> 4.2,29 Protected Watershed Industrial (PWI) Dietrict <br /> a) Intent <br /> The intent of the Protected Watershed Industrial (PWI) <br /> District is to provide appropriately located and sized <br /> sites within the protected watershed area for limited <br /> industrial uses engaged in manufacturing, processing, <br /> creating and assembling of goods, merchandise or equipment. <br /> Performance standards will be used to insure the absence <br /> of adverse impacts of the use on the quality of water in <br /> the water supply watershed. The location of the district <br /> is recommended in areas within the least environmentally <br /> sensitive areas of the protected watershed area. <br /> b) Application Criteria <br /> This district will usually be applied where the following <br /> conditions exist: <br /> 1, The site is located in the Protected Watershed-II <br /> (PW-II) district. <br /> 2. Lot size for individual uses shall be a minimum of <br /> ten acres. <br />
