The Council recently purchased two parcels of land in Chapel Hill for <br /> construction Of the Adelaide Walters Apartments which will accommodate low <br /> and moderate income elderly and handicapped persons. <br /> Since it is too late to request tax exemption for 1983, we are asking the <br /> Board of County Commissioners for an appropriation of $526.73, which is our <br /> share of the taxes on parcels with Tax Map numbers 7.83710 and 722. <br /> In 1984, we shall apply for tax exemption on this property to which we are <br /> entitled under State law. We shall have representatives present at the tamp <br /> of the bearing on this request, which, we understand, has been scheduled <br /> for November 7, 1983.
