r7 <br /> litairve teSz <br /> Remarks to the Hillsborough Planning Board, October 25, 1983 <br /> 1'. appreciate the opportunity to offer comments upon the <br /> Harmon Young Study Area report of the Orange County Planning <br /> Department dated July 30, August 17, and October 5, 1983. <br /> I am a property owner residing on the northern edge of the <br /> study area and on the eastern side of the Hillsborough town <br /> • <br /> limit. <br /> I find that this document neglects entirely two of the <br /> most important issues relevant to the planning of this part <br /> of Orange County, and I hope that before any action is taken <br /> by the County Commissioners these issues will be addressed <br /> and fully explored. <br /> First, this report ignores entirely the fact that the <br /> Harmon Young Study area (an ill-chosen title to designate this <br /> area because already it connotes commercialization, Occoneechee <br /> Farm1Study area might be more appropriate) includes one of the <br /> most€ important, and still` most beautiful, entrances to Hillsborough, <br /> the most lovely and historically significant town in Piedmont <br /> rr <br /> North Carolina.
