NUMBERS: HILLSBOROUGH - 732-8181 <br /> HILLSBOROUGH - 732-9361 <br /> CHAPEL HILL - 967-9261 <br /> MEBANE - 227-2031 <br /> • � DURHAM - 588-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: For rd to consider convening the first Monday meeting of each month <br /> in the afternoon rather than the evehinD, <br /> NEED: Beginning lin July, 1983, the Board moved to begin a schedule of two rather <br /> than three!, meetings per month on a trial basis through December, 1983. <br /> It appears that while this action has reduced the burden imposed by having <br /> to prepare and act on three agendas per month, it has resulted in the <br /> significant lengthening of the two current meetings per month. <br /> IMPACT: <br /> Wile the two meetings per month schedule will continue to result in lengthy <br /> meetings i.t is recommended that late adjournment of the first Mond ay meeting <br /> will be avo ded by cunveninq it sometime in the late afternoon.
