<br /> that the Agency's comtemplated action will not constitute a
<br /> violation hereof, then the Agency shall be authorized to
<br /> take such action without being in violation of this paragraph.
<br /> • 18.1 Interest of Members of COG and Others. No officer,
<br /> member or employee of COG, and no public official or any
<br /> t
<br /> local government which is affected in any way by the Project,
<br /> who exercises any function or responsibilities in the review
<br /> or approval of the Project or any component part thereof,
<br /> shall participate in any decision relating to this contract
<br /> which affects his personal interest or the interest of any
<br /> I
<br /> corporation, parnership or association in which he is,
<br /> 1
<br /> directly' or indirectly interested; nor shall any such officer,
<br /> member or employee of COG, or public official, of any local
<br /> government affected by the Project, have any interest,
<br /> I
<br /> direct or indirect, in this contract or the proceeds arising
<br /> I
<br /> therefrom.
<br /> 19. Officials not to Benefit. No member of or delegate
<br /> to the COngress of the United States of America, resident
<br /> Commissioner or employee of the United States Government,
<br /> shall be admitted to any share or part of this contract or
<br /> to any benefits to arise herefrom.
<br /> 20. Equal Employment Opportunity.
<br /> (a) The Agency will not discriminate against any
<br /> employee, applicant for employment or subcontractor because
<br /> of race, color, religion, sex, age, or national origin. The
<br /> Agency shall take affirmative action to insure that applicants
