<br /> watercourse.
<br /> b. Graded Slopes and Fills-- the angle for graded slopes and fills
<br /> shall be no greater than the angle which can be retained by I
<br /> vegetativelcover or other adequate erosion control devices or struc- .e
<br /> tures. In any event, slopes left exposed will, within 30 working f
<br /> days of completion of any phase of grading, be planted or otherwise i'
<br /> provided with ground cover, devices, or structures sufficient to ;l
<br /> restrain erosion.
<br /> c. Ground Cover - whenever land-disturbing activity is undertaken
<br /> on a tract comprising more than 20,000 square feet, if more ,
<br /> than 20,000;contiguous square feet is uncovered, the person
<br /> conducting the land-disturbing activity shall install such 4'
<br /> sedimentation and erosion control devices and practices as are
<br /> sufficient to retain the sediment generated by the land-disturbing
<br /> activity within the boundaries of the tract during construction
<br /> upon and development of said tract, and shall plant or otherwise � '
<br /> provide a permanent ground cover sufficient to restrain erosion
<br /> after completion of construction or development within 30 working
<br /> days or 120 calendar days following completion, whichever period
<br /> is shorter. (Amended effective (April 8, 1980).
<br /> d. Design and Performance of Control Measures - erosion and
<br /> sedimentation control measures, structures, and devices shall be so l `I
<br /> planned, designed, and constructed as-to provide control of
<br /> accelerated erosion and sedimentation from the calculated peak
<br /> rates of runoff from a ten-year frequency storm. Runoff rates
<br /> shall be calculated using the procedures in the USDA, Soil
<br /> Conservation Service's, "National Engineering Field Manual for
<br /> Conservation Practices," or other calculation procedures acceptable
<br /> to the Erosion Control Officer. Runoff computations shall be based .K 1 i
<br /> on rainfall data published by the National Weather Service for `
<br /> the area.
