5 4.1 <br /> . <br /> .. <br /> 6•3 <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> . -,, ORANGE COUNTY <br /> ! <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this day of _____, <br /> 1983 and by and between the Town of Chapel Hill, a municipal <br /> ' f 1 <br /> .....,' corporation ("The Town") and Orange County, a body politic <br /> and corporate ("The County") . <br /> . WHEREAS, the County operates a computerized land <br /> records information system and wishes to make a terminal <br /> available for public use in Souchern Orange County; and <br /> % d <br /> .. i WHEREAS, the Town is willing to make space available <br /> for such a terminal in the Town Hall under the circumstances <br /> set forth below; <br /> .-- ; <br /> ;.* . <br /> , Il NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and <br /> mutual promises set forth below, the parties agree as <br /> follows: <br /> :.-., <br /> 1. The Town shall provide suitable space in the Chapel <br /> Hill Town Hall for the location of a terminal for the <br /> exclusive use of Orange County in connection with a land <br /> records information system. This shall be a location easily <br /> accessible to the public. The terminal shall be available <br /> • to the public for land record inquiry during all hours of - <br /> the normal business day. The Town shall provide a suitable <br /> table, chairs, lighting, heating and cooling of space and <br /> janitorial services. The Town shall take reasonable steps <br /> _,-F. • to insure the safety of the equipment and provide reasonable <br /> assistance to first time users who have completed initial <br /> training. This traning is to be provided by the County in a <br /> Hillsborough location. Town employees are not expected to <br /> operate the terminal or produce information fot the public, <br /> but are to provide assistance to public users. <br /> 2.
