54( <br /> . . , <br /> --( <br /> 038 <br /> . ..... <br /> ... <br /> -.1 <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> ; <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this __ day of r <br /> 1983 and by and between the Town of Carrboro, a municipal <br /> corporation ("The Town") and Orange County, a body politic <br /> and corporate ("The Count ") . <br /> WHEREAS the Town and the County have entered into an <br /> agreement dated , pursuant to which the <br /> County will furnish certain coNputer services to the Town; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the County operates a computerized land <br /> records information system and wishes to make a terminal <br /> available for public use in Southern Orange County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town is willing to make space available <br /> ."1 for such a terminal in the Town Hall under the circumstances <br /> '...' set forth below; <br /> ..- . <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and <br /> . . mutual promises set forth below, the parties agree as <br /> .. . . follows: <br /> ...., i <br /> 1. The Town shall provide suitable space in the <br /> Carrboro Town Hall for the location of a terminal for the <br /> exclusive use of Orange County in connection with a land <br /> records information system. This shall be a location easily <br /> accessible to the public. The terminal shall be available <br /> •.. , , to the public for land record inquiry during all hours of <br /> --- the normal business day. The Town shall provide a suitable <br /> table, chairs, lighting, heating and cooling of space and <br /> .,. , <br /> .,1 janitorial services. The Town shall take reasonable steps <br /> to insure the safety of the equipment and provide reasonable <br /> ' 1 assistance to first time users who have completed initial <br /> training.. This traning is to be provided by the County in a <br /> Hillsborough location. Town employees are not expected to <br /> . . , <br /> operate the terminal or produce information f,or the public, <br /> but are to provide assistance to public users. <br /> 2.
