10 <br /> d.1 Minority business representation shall fairly <br /> reflect the amount of minority business in the <br /> business community; <br /> e. Appointments shall fairly reflect the commer- <br /> cial and industrial make up of the area; <br /> f. Education representatives shall be selected from <br /> from among individual nominated by local educa- <br /> tional agencies, vocational education institu- <br /> tions , institutions of higher education, or <br /> general organizations of such agencies or insti- <br /> tutions, and by private or proprietary schools <br /> or general organizations of such schools, in <br /> the Counties; <br /> g. The remaining members shall be selected from <br /> individuals recommended by interested organi- <br /> zations: in the case of labor representatives, <br /> individuals shall be appointed from among per- <br /> sons recommended by State and local labor or- <br /> ganizations or business trades councils. <br /> Each member of the Council shall serve a term of one (1) <br /> year provided, however, initial appointments shall be for the terms <br /> shown on Attachment A. Members shall serve until their successors <br /> are appointed. Any vacancy in the membership of the Council shall <br /> be filled in the same manner as the original appointment. Any <br /> member may be removed for cause. <br /> The members of the Council shall elect a Chairman annually. <br /> The Chairman must be a private sector representative. <br /> -7- <br />
