1O4 <br /> Tie remaining members shall be representatives of .-Kiiica- <br /> tional agencies (representative of all educational agencies in the <br /> Counties) , organized labor, rehabilitation agencies, community- <br /> based organizations, economic development agencies, and the Employ- <br /> ment Security Commission of North Carolina . <br /> In order to provide staggered terms for members of the <br /> Council and to insure the representation prescribed by this section <br /> initial appointments shall be made according to the schedule of <br /> length pf terms contained in Attachment A and initial and subse- <br /> quent appointments shall be made according to the schedule of repre- <br /> sentation iI Attachment A. Attachment A is part of this Contract. <br /> In addition to the foregoing requirements, the following <br /> requirements apply to the appointment of members to the Council: <br /> a. Private sector representatives shall be selected <br /> from among individuals nominated by general <br /> purpose business organizations (i.e. organiza- <br /> tions which admit to membership any for-profit <br /> business operating in the Counties) after con- <br /> sulting with, and receiving recommendations <br /> from other business organizations in the <br /> Counties; <br /> b. The number of nominees referred to in para- <br /> . <br /> graph A. above shall be at least l50 Z; of the <br /> number of persons to be appointed; <br /> c . At least one-half of the private sector repre- <br /> sentatives shall be from businesses which employ <br /> less than 500 persons; <br /> -6- <br />
