C. law (Senate Bill 18) . <br /> (2) To appoint t committee members , with one-third from Home Operators , <br /> by July 1 , 1983 ; and <br /> (3) To accept or reject the Senior Citizen Board ' s recommendation to estat <br /> the DomiciliaryHome Advisory Committee as part of the committee structure <br /> of the Senior Citizens .Board . (See Board Organization Chart) <br /> - — . <br /> reed: N. C. General Assembly ratified a bill on March 23 , 1983 requireing <br /> the establishment of County Domiciliary Home Advisory Committees and pro- <br /> vides training and technical assistance through the N . C . Division of Aging <br /> If County Commissioners refuse to appoint such a committee , the N . C. <br /> Department of himan Resources is empowered to do so . There are 16 <br /> Domiciliary Homes in Orange County of which 5 are licensed as Homes for <br /> the Aged and Disabled . <br /> 1 <br /> Irpact: If approved , a minimal amount of Department on Aging staff time <br /> must be allocatOd to assist the committee in its work . The Commissioners <br /> will have to appoint committee members to serve . The Orange County Senior <br /> Citizens Board would have to review concerns of the new committee as well <br /> as the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee . DSS staff time may <br /> increase as additional cases have to be investigated because of reports <br />
