-2- <br /> Article II: Maximum Permissible Standards by Receiving Land Use <br /> (1) The use of sound amplifying equipment is limited to the con- <br /> ditions specified in this article. <br /> (2) A live musical group or individual using sound amplifying <br /> equipment may operate out of doors only if the business manager <br /> or an authorized agent of that business manager has been granted <br /> a permit. This permit may be secured after it is signed by an <br /> authorized agent of the musical group and by a representative of <br /> the individual organization or group retaining the services of <br /> the musical group and on whose premises the amplifying equipment <br /> is to be used. <br /> (3) No person shall operate or cause to be operated any source of <br /> sound in such a manner as to create a sound level which exceeds <br /> the limits set forth in Table I below when measured as specified <br /> in Article III. <br /> Table I: Sound Levels (dB(A)) by Receiving Land Use <br /> Receiving Land Use <br /> Category 8 A.M. - 11 P.M. 1.1 P.M. - 8 A.M. <br /> Residentfal 60 ---93---- <br /> (4) Sound levels in excess of those listed in Table I above will be <br /> permitted as follows: <br /> Without a Permit With a Permit <br /> ;Thursday. Sunday) <br /> Article III: Sound Measurement Standards <br /> Stan cards, instrumentation, and measurement procedures to be used in <br /> the measurement of sound as provided for in this ordinance are as follows: <br /> (1) ound level measurement shall be made with a sound level meter <br /> using the "A" weigting scale set on "slow response" <br /> 1 , <br /> (2) ound level meters shall be of at lease Type Three meeting American <br /> National Standards Institute, Incorporated (ANSI) S1 .4 - 1974 <br /> requirements (or the latest approved version thereof) . The entire <br /> sound measurement system shall be serviced and operated as recom- <br /> mended by the manufacturer. Persons using the sound level meters <br /> I <br /> shall be trained in sound level measurement and the operation of <br /> sound level meters. <br /> 1 . <br /> 1 <br />
