• <br /> 1 - <br /> 07 t • • 1 <br /> *6.23.1 d) Stream Buffers Included As Part of Minimum Lot Size Requirements <br /> Stream Buffers may be used as part of the required lot area <br /> or lot size for residential and non-residential developments. <br /> *6.23.1 e) 1 Existing Vegetation In Buffer Areas <br /> 1 Existing forested areas or any healthy vegetation can not be <br /> removed from a stream buffer except when replaced with vege- <br /> tation resulting in comparable storm water run off velocity <br /> and quantity one year after planting. <br /> *6.23.1 f) , New Ve&etation In Buffer Areas Required <br /> New vegetation shall be planted to capture non-source pollutants <br /> before they reach the perennial stream, as per applicable Orange <br /> County standards. <br /> *6.23.3 Reserved <br /> *6.23.4 : Impervious Surface Regulated in Protected Watersheds <br /> An impervious surface is any surface through which water cannot <br /> ' penetrate or can only penetrate slowly. This would include <br /> paved paveo, streets and parking lots, concrete sidewalks, and structure <br /> which cover land. As a watershed becomes developed, the amount <br /> of impervious surface increases causing a decrease in soil <br /> ' absorption of storm water and an increase in direct runoff to <br /> streams wit a resulting increase in potential water pollution. <br /> *6.23.4 'Impervious Surface Regulated in Protected Watersheds <br /> In order to promote infiltration of storm water into the <br /> 'maximum soil and minimize direct and immediate runoff into <br /> 'streams impervious surface rations shall be required in <br /> ;Protected Watershed II (PW-II) District. <br /> *Amended 7/6/82 <br />
