The Task Force rec=ends that <br /> the width of stream buffer along any length of strean be 50 feet plus <br /> , 4 times the percent slope. The stream buffer should be ceasured Iron <br /> the edge of the flood plain. The technical review committee established <br /> in the County zoning ordinance should review the buffer requirements <br /> for all proposed non-residential developments and require additional <br /> buffer area where necessary. The Task Force recomrends that stream <br /> buffer areas remain in natural vegetation. <br /> The BCCC on June 6, 1962 adopted watershed zoning e=ndaents which included <br /> requirements for buffer areas along streams. <br /> lg. Orange County should adopt the following reccmmendatione regarding an- <br /> , site!waste water disposal systems: All newly platted lots bordering <br /> on perennial streams arid. requiring an an-site waste water disposal systems <br /> should show a second disposal area to be recorded as an easement on the <br /> final plat ani no building or other activity should occur cn this por- <br /> tion'of the parcel of lend which would prevent its future use for on- <br /> site waste disposal. Orange County should investigate developing an <br /> on-site waste water disposal system monitoring and maintenence progre <br /> for the three water supply watersheds in the County. <br /> adopted 8/23/82 <br />
