The Board discussed the resolution on May 2, 1983 and <br /> directed staff to provide information on implementation of adopted recommendations <br /> of the Water 1Resources Task Force and subdivision activity in the watersheds , <br /> (See May 2, 1983 agenda packed. for Resolution) <br /> NEED: <br /> The Board of 'County Commissioners revised and adopted the recommendations containe <br /> in the Water 1Resources Task Force Report at the August 23 and September 7, 1982 <br /> meetings. The Board also, prior to this action on July 6, 1982,approved zoning <br /> amendments for stream buffers and impervious surface ratios in the Protected Water- <br /> shed II (POI) district applicable to the University Lake and Cane Creek watershk <br /> A copy of the adopted recommendations and the approved zoning amendments are attach <br /> (AttachmentslA and B) . Also attached is a memo regarding the status of implementat <br /> of the recommendations prior to the Board's final, action. (Attachment C) <br /> The Board requested information on subdivision activity in the watersheds as <br /> data on which to base the decision regarding minimum lot sizes. Based on the data, <br /> the Board-delleted the minimum lot size requirements from the adopted recommendatior <br /> #12. The staff has updated the information on subdivision activity in the water- <br /> sheds for the Board's review. (Attachment D) <br /> The Planning ',Board in their continued dicussion of the issues of watershed protecti <br /> requested information on stormwater management objectives and approaches . Ed <br /> Holland and David Blaha from Triangle J COG and Steve Gurley from Wake County <br /> reviewed the objectives, techniques and implementation of stormwater management <br /> with the Board at their May 16, 1983 meeting. A summary of their presentation <br /> to the Board is attached.
