The Implementation Committee of <br /> the Task Force revised the program outlined in the Report and a public <br /> hearing on the proposed program was held on March 28, 1983. The Board <br /> considered the Program at their May 2, 1983 meeting and requested a <br /> recommendation from the Planning Board. The Planning Board considered the <br /> proposed Program at their May 16, 1983 meeting and recommended approval <br /> of the proposed Program. <br /> Further action by the Board, as recommended by the Implementation <br /> Commit;tee, is required to pursue implementation of the program. <br /> IMPACT: Approvial of the proposed program intent and provisions would substantially <br /> address factors affecting agiculture in Orange County cited by the <br /> Agricultural Task Force and would allow recommended implementation measures : <br /> to be undertaken. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: See rebommendations of the Agricultural Task Force Implementation Committee. <br /> The Implementation Committee recommends that the Board contract for <br /> profesSional drafting services to draft a local ordinance implementing <br /> the program, as well as legislative changes required by the proposed <br /> prograM,and pursue the matter at the state level. <br />
