Department of Transportation on April 15th <br /> for seven replacement vehicles for the C.A.T. system requiring <br /> assurance of local funds. A part of the total request is two <br /> vehicles (1-35 passenger bus and 1-van with lift) that would be <br /> sched4led by the Department on Aging and used by departments <br /> such as recreation, with local funds requested from Orange <br /> Count . (Justification/need statement attached. ) <br /> Recreation Dept. Director has a verbal justification report to <br /> present along with Senior Citizens. Decision by N.C. Dept. of <br /> Transportation Board will be made the first week in June; thus <br /> a resolution committing local funds is necessary. (See attached <br /> Resolu`tion. ) <br /> Impact: <br /> If approved, matching funds would have to be budgeted for FY <br /> 83-84. Operating funds for vehicles are already budgeted by <br /> DoA and/or paid for from user fees.
