Whitted, Chair, and coffm1sio <br /> 11° Ben Lloyd, Shirley E. Marshall, Norman Walker and Don Nillhoit' <br /> 12, A, BOARD COMMENTS <br /> 13. Commissioner x5llhoit added discussion on Nutrition Sites as Item <br /> 24, Number E-14, <br /> 3 <br /> 15^ V. AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br /> 16. 1. MATTERS ON THE PRINTED AGENDA <br /> 17~ There were no comments. <br /> 18. 2. MATTERS NOT ON THE PRINTED AGENDA <br /> 19, Mr. Leonard vanNess, Executive Director of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro <br /> • 20" Chamber of Commerce presented the Board of Commissioners with the name of <br /> 21. Helen D. Allen as the mumbnesnominatfon for the Board's consideration <br /> • as a recipient for the Governor's Volunteer Awards. <br /> 3. Mr. Jim McCoy who lives in the Star Point area in Chapel Hill presented <br /> 4. a Petition with over 150 signatures on it to the Board requesting that the <br /> ' 125. Board of Commissioners adopt a County-wide Noise Ordinance. Mr. McCoy <br /> presented background information on the reason for the request' <br /> Sheriff Lindy Pendergrass added that there had been 82 noise complaints from <br /> 28. the county area, Sheriff Pendergrass further stated there was no Ordinance <br /> , to prohibit the noise and he was unable to get these people to stop the noise. <br /> 3o. The Sheriff said any ordinance to prohibit or cut down on the noise level would <br /> , be most hclpful. Commissioner willhmit said the Manager had drafted a noise <br /> 32. ordinance and that Commissioner Willhoit, Sheriff Pendergrass and the County <br /> 33. Manager will meet and discuss the noise ordinance. <br /> 34. C. MINUTES <br /> 35. Commissioner N1llhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Marshall to approve <br /> 36. the minutes of March 28, 1983 as corrected, VOTE: Ayes, 5; Noes, O. <br /> 37. Commissioner Marshall moved, seconded by Commissioner Whitted to approve <br /> , the minutes of April 5, 1983, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes, 5; Noes, O. <br /> 39. Commissioner xillnoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Marshall to approve <br /> � �v" <br />
