General Statute 160A,-270(B) requires Board authorization to sell <br /> surplus, confisated and abandoned property. County departments and funded <br /> agencies have been given the opportunity to acquire this property (except <br /> vehicles) and items to be disposed of have not been claimed by them. the <br /> County is in the process of receiving proposals for auctioneering services <br /> and for this reason no set date for the auction has been determined. <br /> "LippaZt: The sale of surplus items will result in additional revenue to the <br /> County. The proceeds from the sale of abandoned and confiscated property <br /> will be divided evenly between the two school systems after deducting for <br /> expenses, as required by state law. <br />
