Enclosure tops or roofs shall be <br /> constructed of not less than eleven and one-half (Ilk) gauge, <br /> steel chain link fencing which shall be attached securely to <br /> the enclosure sides and/or horizontal, piping or crossbars by <br /> means of steel wire ties spaced at not more than three (3) <br /> inch intervals. <br /> Enclosures without tops or roofs shall have sides with a <br /> minimum height of twelve (12) feet. At the top of the en- <br /> closure sides, there shall be an overhang of four (4) feet <br /> in length, extending inward toward the cage interior, and <br /> forming an angle of forty-five degrees (45°) with the enclo- <br /> sure sides. The overhang shall be constructed of not less <br /> than nine (9) gauge, steel chain link fencing which shall be <br /> attached securely to the enclosure sides and/or horizontal <br /> piping or crossbars by means of steel wire ties spaced not <br /> more than three (3) inches apart. <br /> For purposes of structural integrity, no gaps of larger than <br /> two (2) inches shall be permitted between roof or top and <br /> side fencing, between enclosure poles and entrance gates into <br /> the enclosure, and between side fencing and ground or floor <br /> level. <br /> Every enclosure floor or base shall be constructed of con- <br /> crete or shall be comprised of at least six (6) inches of <br /> crushed stone. Where a concrete floor is provided, fencing <br /> used for enclosure- sides shall be extended into and encased <br /> in the concrete to prevent the animal from tunneling out. <br /> Where a crushed stone base is provided, the side fencing <br /> must be extended thirty (30) inches below the surface of the <br /> ground or secured at ground level by means of a horizontal <br /> crossbar or piping.
