<br /> 6, The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session
<br /> T. on Monday, May 2, 1983, at I0:00 A.M. in the Commissioners ' Room,
<br /> 8. Orange County Courthouse, Hillsborough, North Carolina.
<br /> 9^ Commissioners present: Richard E. Whitted, Chair, and Commis-
<br /> 10. sinners Ben Lloyd, Shirley E. Marshall , Norman Walker and Don Nillhoit'
<br /> Il, A. BOARD COMMENTS
<br /> 12. Commissioner Whitted added an item on the purchase of the land
<br /> 13. for the Community Development Park from the Town of Hillsburuugh; Commfs-
<br /> 14, sinner Marshall added contideration of a Resolution from Columbus
<br /> 15, County. In addition, Commissioner Marshall said there were six mem-
<br /> I6° bers of the Orange County Planning Board at the Horizons UNlimited
<br /> 17. Retreat the previous Wednesday and she appreciated their dedication.
<br /> I8° Cnmmissioner Lloyd moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker, to delete
<br /> 19, item # 5 (Resolution--Proposed Watershed Protection Measures) from
<br /> 20" the agenda and to place it on an evening meeting. Following a dis-
<br /> 21, cusufnn of the motion, Commissioner Lloyd withdrew his motion on the
<br /> 22, ovnditinn that no action be taken on this item.
<br /> 23. B. AUDIENCE COMMENTS
<br /> 214., Commissioner Whitted acknowledged the presence of those who
<br /> 25°wiohed to address the Board on specific items of the agenda. There
<br /> 26^we~e no members of the audience who wished to address the Board about
<br /> 27,matters not on the agenda.
