NEED: The petitioner is requesting the closure of an abondoned potion of Old Cedar Grove Road. The portion to be closed is 851.84 feet in length and extending south from the southwest corner of Highland Woods subdivision through the intersection with the right-of-way of Larchwood. Road and continues south to the southwet corner of the portion of property owned by J.W. Garrard on the north side of Old Cedar Grove Road. The section so described crosses Lot 17 owned by Mr.] Garrard and splits 1.64 acres from the remaining 35,86 acre tract located to the scuth and west of Old Cedar Grove Road and splits 3.05 acres from the 6.73 acres located to the south of Old Cedar Grove Road and to the east Of Larchwood Koad. IMPCAT: Closure of t e abandoned portion of Old Cedar Grove Road would not interfere with any adjacent property or use of the road for access. Old Cedar Grove Road extendslfrom Larchwood Road to the Town of HiYisbotough property to the south. It is abandoned for most of its length. Highland Woods subdivision has access 14 Larchwood Road to Harper Road and then onto SR 1328, Faucette Mill Road. , 1 - Upon closure of road all right, title and interest in the right-of-way is vested in. thOse persons owning lots or parcels of Ianctadjacent to the road. The tiitle of each adjoining landowner, for the width of his abutting 1 land, extends i to the center line of the road, subject to any public utility use or facility. RECOMMElbATION: Adoption of order for permanent closure of the portion of Old Cedar Grove Road. I Direct clerk to the Board to deliver a certified copy of the order to the Register of Deeds to be filed.
