Proposals shall be received by Marvin. E. Collins, Planning Director, <br /> in accordance with the request for proposals. Interested engineering <br /> consultants should submit their proposals on the forms provided by the . ._ <br /> County which are attached and marked as Exhibit A. <br /> . . <br /> - .--. <br /> B. Conditional proposals or proposals not prepared and submitted in accord- <br /> ance with the provisions hereof will not be considered. Any deviations <br /> from these or other requirements shall be itemized and explained in an <br /> attachment to the proposal forms which is included, herein and marked as <br /> Exhibit A. Any proposal received after the time and date specified will <br /> not be considered. The County reserves the right to waive any irregularities <br /> in the proposals' deemed to be in the County's best interest. <br /> C. All proposals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes bearing on the <br /> outside of the envelope the name of the Engineering Consultant, his address <br /> and the name of the project for which the proposal is submitted. If for- <br /> warded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the proposal, and marked as <br /> directed above, shall be enclosed in another envelope addressed as specified <br /> herein. <br /> 6. QUALIFICATIONS <br /> A. The County may make such investigations as it deems necessary to determine <br /> the ability of the consultant to perform the work, and the consultant shall <br /> be prepared to furnish the County all such information and date for this <br /> purpose as the County may request. <br /> 7. TIME SCHEDULE <br /> Proposals, in order to be considered, must be received no later than 2:00 P.M. , <br /> April 22, 1983. <br /> 8. PAYMENTS <br /> Payments for the necessary engineering services shall be made monthly as the <br /> work progresses. All invoices for engineering services will, be due within <br /> thirty (30) days Of receipt by the County. Each invoice will be accompanied <br /> by a progress report indicating what work has been completed to date on the <br /> project. <br /> 9. EXTRA WORK <br /> No extra work will' be authorized except following a change in the Scope of Work <br /> by Orange County, in writing. <br />
