UPPER ENO RESERVOIR DEVELOPMENT FEASIBILITY STUDY <br /> The study andlreport for this element will include, but not necessarily <br /> be limited to the following items: <br /> (1) A study of the present and projected population of the <br /> Northern orange County area to determine initial and <br /> future water requirements for residential, commercial • <br /> and industrial comsumption, and for fire protection <br /> purposes. <br /> 1 <br /> (2) A study of the Upper Eno Watershed, including the <br /> gathering; from existing sources, of a description <br /> of the land use features, historic structures and <br /> sites, gecilogy, soils, climatology, socio-economic <br /> characteristics, water and biologic resources, and <br /> point and. Inon-point sources of pollution. <br /> 1 <br /> (3) Identification of potential reservoir sites in the <br /> Upper Eno Watershed, including the proposed Seven <br /> Mile Creek Reservoir and the proposed expansion of <br /> Corporation Lake, as well as sites above the confluence <br /> of McGowan! Creek and the Eno River. <br /> 1 <br /> (4) Evaluation; of the construction feasibility of each <br /> reservoir Site from the standpoint of topographic, <br /> geologic and soils constraints and storage volume. <br /> 1 <br /> (5) Preparatioh of preliminary construction layouts for <br /> each feasible reservoir site, including identification <br /> of land area needed for water storage, amount of land <br /> clearance and number of relocations necessary for <br /> developmer4 and reservoir design criteria. <br /> (6) Evaluationlof ability of each reservoir alone or in <br /> combination to satisfy anticipated water demand, <br /> evaluationlof relationship between reservoir develop- <br /> ment and water and/or sewer line improvements proposed <br /> in Section1A, and discussion of integration of reservoirs <br /> into county-wide water clInnlw <br />
