Unless the expansion of
1
Corporation Lake proves feasible, no water/sewer lines need be extended up
Seven Mile Creek tip serve development. Furthermore, unless upstream reservoir
sites of sufficient capacity can be identified, the extension of utilities up
McGowan's Creek isl not warranted. It is for this reason that the two reports
must be integrated, since one report has a direct bearing on the other.
2. SCOPE OF WORK
1
The work required by the County for this project will include preparation of an
engineering study and report utilizing as much existing data as possible for
each of the follor4ng work elements. If extensive field explorations are desired,
they will be added' under Section 3.
A. CHEEKS TOWNSHIP WATER & SEWER EXTENSION FEASIBILITY REPORT
The study and report for this element will include, but not necessarily be
limited to, the following items;
SEWER
(1) A study ofthe 'present and projected population and residential,
commercial and industrial land uses of the study area to determine
initial and future sewage flows.
(2) Preparation of preliminary layouts of collector sewers, pump
stations a d force mains to serve the study area.
(3) Complete analysis of the effect that the new sewers and
sewage flows will have on the Town of Hillsborough's
existing collection system and wastewater treatment
facilities.1
1
(4) Preparation; of preliminary layouts of improvements that
will be reqpired in the existing sewage collection system
and wastewater treatment facilities in order for the existing
sewers to transport the wastewater discharged from the study
area and treat it.
1
(5) Development;of design criteria for future expansion of the
Town of Hillsborough's sewage collection system.
1
(6) Development of preliminary cost estimates for improvements
to the existing sewage collection system and new sewers
recommendedlin the report, as well, as long term maintenance
1
and orterating.
