We discussed ways <br /> to accomplishlthis objective with the Policy and Liaison Committee. Mrs. Ann <br /> Harrell, Chairperson, appointed a subcamnittee to work with us to develop recan- <br /> mendations. lhat group has it and made recommendations which are incorporated <br /> in these instiuctions. <br /> One of the ways to increase (iiqtribution is to expand the eligibility cri- <br /> teria. Foil by the committee and which have <br /> been approved by USDA. Effective immediately these groups are eligible: <br /> ling <br /> 1. Elderly - age 60 or over. <br /> 2. Disabled persons receiving Social Security benefits and/or SSI. <br /> . 1 <br /> 3. ReciTients of AFDC, Food Stamps, and Medicaid. <br /> 4. Persons whose gross monthly income is at or below 150% of the <br /> 1982 non-farm poverty level.
