0.15 <br /> APPENDIX A (CONTINUED) <br /> and prevent its removal without the owner or permittee's <br /> permission. <br /> Z. Secondarki Enclosures. Secondary enclosures shall serve as a perimeter <br /> fence surrounding all primary enclosures except those for reptiles. <br /> The secondary enclosure shall be provided in order to protect the <br /> public and the animal (s) by restricting public accessibility to the <br /> primary enclosures. <br /> a. Construction Standards. All secondary enclosures shall be constructed <br /> of nest smaller than eleven and one-half (11 ) gauge, steel chain <br /> link fencing attached to not smaller Cahn two and one-half (2}) <br /> inch diameter, Schedule 40 steel poles placed at least thirty (30) <br /> inches in the ground and anchored in concrete. -Fencing shall be <br /> placed on the interior side of the steel poles and shall be attached <br /> firmly to the poles by means of steel wire ties spaced not more than <br /> one '(1) foot apart and which are tied securely around the full <br /> circumference of the poles. <br /> Fencing shall be at least eight (8) feet in height and shall be <br /> electrified at the bottom and the top of the enclosure. <br /> b. SepJration of Enclosures. Secondary enclosures shall not have any <br /> co I n wall with any primary enclosure. The spacing between the <br /> pri ary enclosure and the secondary enclosure shall be a minimum of <br /> six (6) feet. <br /> c. Safety Doors Required. Double safety doors shall be provided for <br /> sec©ndary enclosures as required for primary enclosures and contained <br /> in he standards for Tigers and Hybrids Thereof. <br /> 3. Variation From Standards. Variation from these standards shall be <br /> permitted where, based on initial inspections , it is found that <br /> enclosures, with slight modifications, can confine the animals in a <br /> safe aid humane manner. Specifically, enclosures found to comply with <br /> this sitandard are as follows: <br /> (List to be provided at April 19 , 1983 meeting) <br />
