9 <br /> 1 Peter Sandbeck said there is new signage marking voluntary ag district farms, which is <br /> 2 a welcome addition. <br /> 3 Peter Sandbeck said they have worked with the Animal Services Advisory Board (ASAB) <br /> 4 on what to do with the growing feline population in Orange County, and he said there is a <br /> 5 program being considered called "working cats" that pairs cats needing homes with farms <br /> 6 needing cats. <br /> 7 Peter Sandbeck said an emerging issue, of which the BOCC is aware, is what is a bona <br /> 8 fide farm. She said the ultimate outcome is three shared priorities that were <br /> 40 identified: 1) Social Determinants of Health; 2) Physical Activity and Nutrition and 3) Mental <br /> 41 Health and Substance Abuse. <br /> 42 Liska Lackey reviewed highlights from the year: <br /> 43 o BOH is reviewing ideas about making birth control available over the counter, <br /> 44 and are proceeding slowly with this. <br /> 45 o The Family Success Alliance (FSA) celebrated its second anniversary, and has a <br /> 46 total of 5 navigators, which allows more families to be served. She said the <br /> 47 kindergarten readiness program has been evaluated and determined to be an <br /> 48 effective intervention. <br /> 49 o Implemented an initiative to increase racial equity training among staff. <br /> 50 o The BOH is a founding partner of No Kid Hungry NC, and are partnering with <br />
