On June 21, 2016, the Planning Board adopted amendments to the land use <br /> 26 ordinance that added site-specific flexible zoning districts. She said it smacks of spot zoning, <br /> 27 and eligibility is dependent on several criteria, including minimum track size and that the subject <br /> 28 property has been the subject of a site specific plan and study by the Town. She said this <br /> 29 refers mostly to the property, at Eubanks Road and Old 86. She said the Town is looking for a <br /> 30 mixed-use proposal for this space. She there was a charette over five years ago. She said the <br /> 31 owners of this property have not submitted a formal application for rezoning. <br /> 32 Susan Poulton spoke about residential portions of Claremont South along Homestead <br /> 33 Road. She said a plan has been submitted for a commercial building with apartments above. <br /> 34 Susan Poulton said the Town has approved the first phase of the project at 610 <br /> 35 Homestead Road, and construction plans have not yet been submitted. <br /> 36 Susan Poulton said a Hilton Garden Hotel has been approved in the Town of Carrboro. <br /> 37 She said the Planning Board is also dealing with AirBnBs. She said there is some stormwater <br /> 38 infrastructure construction related to the project, and this also serves a large community need. <br /> 39 She said there are lots of other projects going on in town as well. She thanked the BOCC for <br /> 40 its interest in the Town and acknowledged the Town's disrespect of the County. <br /> 41 Susan Poulton agreed with the need for a traffic study in the area of Eubanks Road and <br /> 42 Old Highway 86. <br /> 43 Commissioner McKee asked if there a status update on the Lloyd's property. <br /> 44 Susan Poulton said it has been purchased, but it is in limbo. She said the Planning <br /> 45 Board has turned down two proposals. <br /> 46 Commissioner Rich asked if there is a status update on the CVS property. <br /> 47 Susan Poulton said this property has not come before the Planning Board.
