1 <br /> 1 Attachment 2 <br /> 2 <br /> 3 DRAFT MINUTES <br /> 4 BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> 5 WORK SESSION <br /> 6 March 28, 2017 <br /> 7 7:00 p.m. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 The Orange County Board of Commissioners met for a work session on Tuesday, March 28, <br /> 10 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Southern Human Services Center in Chapel Hill, N.C. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Dorosin and Commissioners Mia Burroughs, <br /> 13 Mark Dorosin, Barry Jacobs, Earl McKee, Mark Marcoplos, Renee Price and Penny Rich <br /> 14 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> 15 COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br /> 16 COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Deputy County Manager <br /> 17 Travis Myren and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff members will be identified <br /> 18 appropriately below) <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Chair Dorosin called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> 21 Chair Dorosin said there is an item that needs to be added to the agenda: <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Board of Equalization and Review -Appointments <br /> 24 The Board will consider the appointment of two (2) regular members from the list of appointed <br /> 25 alternates and one (1) additional alternate to the Board of Equalization and Review. Board of <br /> 26 the County Commissioners (BOCC) will designate a Chair from the list of appointed regular <br /> 27 members. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 A motion was made by Commissioner Rich, seconded by Commissioner Marcoplos to <br /> 30 appoint Barbara Levine and Karen Morrisette as regular members. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 33 <br /> 34 A motion was made by Commissioner Marcoplos, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to <br /> 35 appoint Reginald Morgan as Chair. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 38 <br /> 39 A motion was made by Commissioner Burroughs, seconded by Commissioner <br /> 40 Marcoplos to appoint Pam Davis to an alternate position. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 43 <br /> POSITION NAME SPECIAL DATE OF <br /> REPRESENTATIVE APPOINTMENT <br /> At-Large Reginald Morgan-Chair Regular Member 03/21/2019 <br /> At-Large Barbara Levine Regular Member 03/28/2019 <br /> At-Large Karen Morrisette Regular Member 03/28/2019 <br /> At-Large Pam Davis Alternate Member 03/28/2019 <br /> 44 <br />
