050 <br /> STATE AF NORTH1 CAROLINA <br /> COUNTY OF ORANGE <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this the day of <br /> 1983, by and btween THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, hereinafter referred to as "County", <br /> and the CHAPEL HILL HOUSING AUTHORITY, hereinafter referred to as "Authority". <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> THAT WHEREAS, County has been authorized to institute a county wide Housing <br /> Assistance Program to be funded through an Annual Contract with the United States <br /> Department of Housing and Urban Development, and <br /> WHEREAS, iI he Chapel Hill Housing Authority is a Housing Authority organized <br /> and existing under the Housing Authority Laws of North Carolina, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Authority has the requisite personnel and the experience in <br /> administering Housing Assistance Program in all of Orange County, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Parties hereto do agree that in the interest of the program and <br /> its continued implementation, the Chapel Hill Housing Authority is a proper agency <br /> to operate such a program for and in behalf of the County of Orange under the <br /> terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, and <br /> WHEREAS, he Parties hereto desire to reduce their agreement with respect <br /> thereto in wri ling. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the aforesaid the parties hereto do con- <br /> tract and ogre as follows: <br /> 1. County does hereby contract and agree with Authority for the operation <br /> of the County wide housing assistance payments program including Section 8 <br /> Existing and Section Moderate Rehabilitation. <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br />
