STATE OF NORTF CAROLINA <br /> COUNTY OF ORANGE: / <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this the /� day of/ , <br /> 1983, by and etween THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, hereinafter referred t as "County", <br /> and the CHAPEL_ HILL HOUSING AUTHORITY, hereinafter referred to as "Authority" <br /> WITNESSEIH: <br /> THAT WHE EAS, County has been authorized to institute a county wide Housing <br /> Assistance Program to be funded g <br /> f nded throw h an Annual Contract with the United States <br /> I Department of Housing and Urban Development, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Housing Authority is a Housing Authority organized <br /> and existing under the Housing Authority Laws of North Carolina, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Authority has the requisite personnel and the experience in <br /> administering a Housing Assistance Program in all of Orange County, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Parties hereto do agree that in the interest of the program and <br /> its continued implementation, the Chapel Hill Housing Authority is a proper agency <br /> to operate such a program for and in behalf of the County of Orange under the <br /> terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Parties hereto desire to reduce their agreement with respect <br /> thereto in writing. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the aforesaid the parties hereto do con- <br /> tract and agre as follows: <br /> 1 . Count does hereby contract and agree with Authority for the operation <br /> of the County wide housing assistance payments program including Section 8 <br /> Existing and Section Moderate Rehabilitation. <br />
