(See abstract on page �r/ o f these e Minutes.) <br /> E-6 NUMBERING OF STREETS IN SOUTH ORANGE <br /> Commissioner Willhoit said citizens in south Orange had told him that the Post <br /> ' Office was re-numbering the rural routes in that area again. Commissioner Willhoit <br /> ' requested the Manager to check into the possibility of having the Post Office assign <br /> ' street numbers or lot numbers at intervals to these homes. Commissioner Willhoit <br /> ` said this was a charge to the Road Naming Commission but had not been done yet; he <br /> ' asked the Manager to get this information from the Post Office and to schedule this <br /> ' topic on a third Tuesday meeting and to advertise it in order to ascertain community <br /> ^ interest in having street/lot numbers assigned' The Board requested the Manager to <br /> ` follow through on Commissioner Willhoit's request. <br /> F-REPORT <br /> ° Mr. Ray Green of the Triangle J Council of Governments presented a slide show <br /> ` and oral report on the Triangle Area Development Plan. Following the presentation <br /> ' Mr. Green told the Board COG planned two conferences: 1) a Regional Forum to produce <br /> ^ a draft document on problems, solutions and actions for specific local governments; <br /> ` and, 2) a Regional Retreat which will take the draft document produced at the first <br /> ' Forum and refine it into a consensus document on problems, solutions and specific <br /> actions for local governments in the Triangle area, Mr. Green said the Triangle J <br /> " is not asking for financial support but is asking that Orange County co-sponsor both <br /> ^ conferences, thereby lending its support. <br /> Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Marshall , to adopt a <br /> Resolution pledging Orange County's cooperation and participation in the conferences <br /> " agreeing to be a co-sponsor, Vote: Ayes, 5; noes, O. <br />
