Margaret Lane <br /> Hillsborough, N.C. 27278 <br /> Re: Rezoning request by Mr. James Rae Freeland for property on Highway 86 <br /> Dear Commissioners: <br /> The Hillsborough Planning Board has the following comments regarding the <br /> rezoning request: <br /> 1- Please consider the impact of the proposed development an the capacity <br /> of the existing schools and the quality of education. <br /> 2- A pac ge treatment plant for sewa$e is not sufficient, and the Hills- <br /> borough Planning Board feels that an interim package treatment plant <br /> shouldlnot be allowed. Both water and sewer lines should be hooked up <br /> .to_.t 41tllsborougl3..system with.•.the water lines looped to Hillsborough's <br /> lines. ) Plans for water and sewer lines should be approved by the <br /> appropriate State agencies and the Hillsborough Board of Commissioners. <br /> Additionally, the Hillsborough Planning Board would like to bring to <br /> Orange County Commissioners' attention some recommended improvements whichtwill <br /> be pertinent at the time that a subdivision request is made for this property. <br /> 1- 'uteri r roads should be built and paved to State DOT Standards. <br /> 2- A thir lane should be constructed to DOT Standards and built onto <br /> Highway' 86 from the northern property line at I-85 and Highway 86 <br /> intersection to the southern property line near Woods Brothers. <br /> 3- Developer should install underground utilities. <br /> 4- Consideration should be given open space or recreation area to be dedicated <br /> by the developer. <br /> Thank you for your consideration of these comments, <br /> Sincerely, I <br /> . 5.
