The third Tuesday meeting is suggested as the rheeti d <br /> to be hdld on a regular basis in the southern part of the County. <br /> Traditionally only special meetings or those meetings which have special <br /> significance for citizens living in that geographic area (for example, <br /> budget Rresentation for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Schools) have been <br /> held in Chapel Hill or Carrboro. <br /> The Courtroom in Chapel Hill is available to the Commissioners on <br /> the third Tuesday of each month. <br /> IMPACT: Holding meeting on a regular basis in the southern portion of the <br /> County m y result in increased citizen participation and interest <br /> from tha area. <br /> It would increase access to the Commissioners'meetings for those <br /> citizens usually unable to travel Ur-Hillsborough (for example, <br /> the elderly) . <br /> RECOMMENDATION: AS THE BOARD DECIDES. <br />
