APPENDIX A (CONTINUED) <br /> doors must be locked by means of chains and padlocks located <br /> at t!he top and bottom of the door. <br /> (5) Separation of Animals. There shall be no common fences between <br /> enclosures housing tigers and any other animals. If adult°male animals <br /> are placed in adjacent enclosures, the enclosures shall be constructed <br /> of line (9) gauge, steel chain link fencing, doubled, and spaced <br /> at east three (3) feet apart so as to prohibit physical contact <br /> between the animals. <br /> (6) Other Requirements. Primary enclosures shall contain a den or <br /> retrleat to shelter the animal (s) from the weather. The den or <br /> retreat shall be constructed of concrete block or treated lumber <br /> so as to withstand weatherization and provide ease of cleaning <br /> for health reasons. Claw logs shall also be provided, as well as <br /> a°shelf at least thirty (30) inches wide, eight (8) feet long, <br /> and forty (40) inches high above floor or ground level . <br /> b. Leopards, Jaguars and Hybrids Thereof. Animals in this category shall <br /> be housed within a primary enclosure constructed in accordance with <br /> the following standards: <br /> (1) Minimum Enclosure Area: A primary enclosure for animals in this <br /> category shall contain a minimum of four hundred (400) square feet <br /> of round or floor area for the first animal and two hundred (200) <br /> square feet of ground or floor area for each additional animal . <br /> (2) Number of Animals Permitted. Same as for Tigers and Hybrids"Thereof, <br /> (3) Construction Standards. Same as for Tigers and Hybrids Thereof <br /> except primary enclosures for animals in this category shall all <br /> have roofs or tops, and side fencing shall be buried at least four <br /> (4) feet below ground level or anchored in a concrete floor to <br /> prevent Dtouonrns elienqg u i.bry dthe aae imas lsf. <br /> r(4) Safe Tigers and Hybrids Thereof. <br /> (5) Sep ration of,Animals. Servals and Hybrids Thereof. Animals in this category shall be housed <br /> in a prihiary enclosure constructed in accordance with the following <br /> standards: <br /> (1) Minimum Enclosure Area. A primary enclosure for animals in this <br /> cat gory shall contain a minimum of one hundred (100) square feet <br />
