(13) Keeper's training and experience with animals, especially wild <br /> ` animals, particularly the species in the application; and/or <br /> (14) A list of tranquilizing equipment, chemicals and instruments <br /> of destruction as required by this Ordinance . <br /> Only one permit shall be required for each location at which wild animals <br /> are to be kept. <br /> Investigation by Director — Each application for permit or amendment <br /> shall be filed pith the Director who shall inspect all locations for the <br /> keeping of any wild animal for cleanliness and safe possession of the animal. <br /> I <br /> Prior to the granting of a permit or amendment the applicant shall be <br /> required to prevent to the Director, for his inspection, a State of North <br /> Carolina Wildlife Resources Permit, if the keeping of such animal in this <br /> state requires �ny such perniit. <br /> Such perms or amendment shall be issued by the Director after satis- <br /> factory evidence by the applicant and personal inspection by the Director <br /> that the applicant will confine any wild animal in facilities that meet the <br /> standards contained in Appendix A. (RESERVED) <br /> Such perms or amendment will not be issued by the Director when he <br /> finds one or more of the following: <br /> (1) No permit or amendment shall be issued when any outdoor <br /> enclo ure designed for confinement of a wild animal is <br /> located closer than 100 feet from any property line; <br /> (2) Intentional misstatements or misleading statements of <br /> fact .n the application; <br /> (3) When the animal cannot or will, not be kept or maintained without <br /> menacing the safety of. any; perion or property; and/or..' . V <br /> (4) When he animal is, will not, or cannot be maintained in a humane <br /> manner. _;. <br /> Each applicant shall be notified by.,certified mail of the issuance or <br /> denial of a permit or permit amendment by the Director. <br /> If the Director does not issue a permit or amendment, the reasons for his <br /> not doing so shall be in writing and shall accompany the notice of denial . <br /> An applicant may request a hearing before the Director by written request <br /> within five (5) days after receipt of notice of denial of a permit or permit <br /> amendment. The Director shall render a decision including findings of fact <br /> based on the evidence presented at such hearing. In the event that the Director <br /> denies said permit, the permittee shall be entitled to a hearing before the <br /> Board by requesting same within five (5) days of receipt of notice of denial. <br /> Permit Revocation Procedures -- The Director may revoke a permit heretofore <br /> issued, if he finds violation of any section of this Ordinance. <br /> The Director will revoke a permit heretofore issued when he finds one or <br />
