C4 <br /> Section 3 Permit Required <br /> Permit Required - Permits shall only be issued for animals existing in <br /> Orange County Snd registered as of the date of this Ordinance enactment. It <br /> shall be unlawful for any person to possess or harbor in Orange County a wild <br /> animal as defined herein without first applying for and obtaining a permit from <br /> the Director. Furthermore, it shall be unlawful for any person to trade, breed, <br /> sell or barter any wild animal or their cages and any equipment used by or for <br /> the handling of said animals, unless exempted by the provisions contained in <br /> Section 4 of this Ordinance. No permit shall be required for the transportation <br /> of wild animalslthrough Orange County from a point of origin outside the County <br /> to a point outside the County. <br /> Re9uirements for Permit - As a condition precedent to the possession or <br /> harboring of any wild animal, the prospective owner or permittee shall have on <br /> the premises where such animal is kept, sufficient equipment and/or chemicals <br /> necessary to tranquilize or kill any animal for which the owner or permittee has <br /> a permit to kee . <br /> As a Furth r condition, the prospective owner or permittee must present <br /> evidence of tra.ning and experience in the care and handling of wild-animals. <br /> Prospective owners or permittees must submit an application for said <br /> permit which shall contain the following: <br /> (1) Name ud address of the applicant; <br /> (2) If a corporation, the State under which incorporated, the date <br /> of incorporation, the address of the principal office, and the <br /> names! and addresses of its officers; <br /> (3) If any other type of organization, the name thereof, the location . <br /> of its office, and the names and addresses of the principal officers, <br /> directors, trustees, or managing officials or partners; <br /> (4) Statement of the owners purpose in keeping the animal; <br /> I <br /> (5) The place of origin (city or county and state) of the animal'or <br /> animals or classes of animals, including the method of acquisition <br /> (gift purchase, etc.); <br /> (6) A description of the animal.(size, weight, distinctive markings, <br /> etc.) or animals including species; <br /> (7) List of previous incidents involving animals to be registered, <br /> including escapes, injury to persons or property, etc.; <br /> (8) The a dress of the premises where the animal or animals will be kept; <br /> (9) A des ription of the method, materials, and square footage of facilities <br /> for cpnfinement of the animal or animals; <br /> (10) Proof of the applicant's ability to respond in damages for bodily <br /> injury to or death of any person or persons or for damage to property <br /> owned by any other person which may result from the ownership, keeping <br /> or ma ntenance of such animal. Proof of ability to respond in damages <br /> shall be given by filing with the Director a certificate of insurance <br /> from an insurance company authorized to do business in•the State stating <br /> that the applicant is, at the time of application, insured by a policy <br />
