' 'J,' 'w i', 1. :572,r::i:. - 17-4 ' 1-r: _:ate: $ c. _ w . . <br /> I <br /> • <br /> f <br /> GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NOpTH CAROLINA SESSION 1983 <br /> 1 Sec. 11L G.S. 105-164.3 is amended by adding a new <br /> 2 subdivision to read: (:: <br /> 3 "(5a) 'rood and food products for human consumption' includes <br /> to the following: • <br /> 5 a. food products packaged by the manufacturer thereof <br /> 6 in the usual and customary container used for the <br /> 7 particular. type of food product and delivered <br /> 8 intact in the container by the retailer to the . <br /> 9 purchaser for consumption off the premises of the <br /> LO retailer; <br /> Li. b. basic food items such as fruit, vegetables, meat, <br /> L2 dairy y and poultry products, cereals, and bread and <br /> 13 other bakery products; <br /> di c. prepared meals or foods sold by grocery stores, <br /> .5 supermarkets, or any other similar business unless <br /> .6 the business provides facilities for the customers <br /> .7 to consume the meals or foods on the premises; <br /> .8 d. prepalred meals sold in a boarding house provided the <br /> .9 meal are sold only to permanent roomers of the <br /> ,0 boa.a ding house and the charge for the meals is <br /> l included in the weekly or monthly charge for the <br /> 1 room of each boarder; and <br /> 13 =:e. coffeI e and other foods sold through vending machines <br /> ''4 located at places that have no facilities for <br /> • <br /> 5 serving prepared meals or foods. <br /> 6 The term does not include t.bA fnl 1 nu;net. <br />
